Education support

No child in the family should leave school over fees

The welfare sets money aside each year for school and college fees. Members apply for the children in their family, the education committee decides, and the money is paid straight to the school.

Forms and guidance

Forms for the current round will appear here when the committee publishes them.

How it works

From application to the school’s account

A member applies

While a round is open, a member signs in and applies for a child in their family, with the school’s fee statement and admission letter.

The committee decides

Applications are reviewed privately against the round’s budget. Only the applicant and the committee see an application.

Paid to the school

An award is paid by the treasurer to the school’s own paybill or account — never to a person — and recorded in the welfare’s books.
